LIBRARY RULES
The DBK School Library is a space of strict silence and order, accessible to all students in uniform. Personal belongings must be left outside, and only one book may be issued per student for a week, with a fine of Rs.5 per day for overdue returns unless absence is justified. Books for consultation must remain in the library, and borrowed books must be returned directly to the librarian without circulation. Any damage or defect should be reported immediately, as students are liable for repairs or replacement of lost books. Late returns are recorded in the School Calendar, and three such remarks may debar a student from borrowing for the rest of the year. Books cannot be retained during vacations, and all materials used must be replaced in their proper place after reading. Library hours are from 8:00 am to 11:30 am and 12:10 pm to 2:30 pm on class days, and 8:00 am to 11:00 am on Saturdays. Entry during class hours follows the timetable approved by the Principal, and special permission is required for access outside this schedule.
COMPUTER CENTRE RULES
The Computer Centre is a place of focused learning where silence must be strictly maintained. Since dust harms computers, students must remove shoes and wear clean socks before entering. No personal belongings may be taken inside without the teacher’s permission. Computers are delicate and expensive instruments, so students must handle them with utmost care, follow the teacher’s instructions, and immediately report any defect or damage—failing which the cost of repair will be borne by the student. Computer time is valuable and must be used responsibly without wastage.
LABORATORY RULES
Silence must be strictly observed in the Science Laboratories at all times. Entry outside the scheduled hours requires written permission from the Principal or Vice Principal. School bags and unrelated articles are not allowed inside and must be kept outside. Students are expected to handle all equipment with care and will be held responsible for any damage caused, with the cost of repairs or replacement to be borne by them.
